Engineering since 2010, in the UK since 2023

Iranian-British engineer, based in Oxfordshire. Roughly thirteen years of technical work across networks, municipal IT, web platforms, and applied AI — first in Mashhad, now in the UK.

Most of that work was in the public sector in Iran. I spent five-and-a-half years as an Approval Implementation Expert at Mashhad Municipality, designing and managing the regulatory and approvals databases behind a complex public-administration estate. Earlier roles covered the municipality's website and information-base programme, then media and public-relations work; before that, three years in private-sector networks and systems administration.

In parallel I taught Computer Engineering at the Mashhad Higher Education Institute for over a decade. In 2023 I came to the UK to read an MSc in Computer Engineering at the University of Essex, took it with Distinction, and now hold indefinite leave to remain. I supported the AI and computer-engineering modules at Essex as a Graduate Laboratory Assistant during my final year.

My current technical focus is on retrieval-augmented systems and small-model fine-tuning, with a particular interest in multilingual NLP — Persian is my first language and rarely a first-class citizen in English-built stacks. Open to UK roles, remote or hybrid.
